Who We Are

We are a language academy with over 35 years of experience, dedicated to helping children, teenagers, and adults communicate with confidence.

We believe that learning a language is much more than studying it: it's living it. That's why we are committed to a close, dynamic, and personalized teaching approach, adapted to the needs of each student.

Our team consists of professionals passionate about teaching, committed to offering quality education and supporting each student in their progress.

In addition to classes, we create experiences that go beyond the classroom, with activities, outings, and opportunities to practice the language in real contexts.

Our goal is to help you open doors and connect with the world.

What We Do

We offer flexible schedules, native qualified teachers, weekend classes, small groups, private lessons, language courses abroad, trips abroad, English for children, teenagers, and adults, after-school English, English conversation groups, summer courses, and intensive courses.

Catalan and Spanish courses for foreigners and academic support for all subjects in primary, secondary, high school, and vocational training.

We specialize in delivering classes within the facilities of companies, guilds, associations, and public administration.

Meet the Team

Neus

Director and Teacher

Hello, I’m Neus, the academy’s director. I love languages, as well as children and young people, which is why I have dedicated my entire life to teaching English. I also speak Italian and a little French.

I am an organized and creative person, qualities that have helped me lead the academy
with enthusiasm and perseverance since I founded it in 1988.

I studied Business Administration at UNED and hold Cambridge C2 Proficiency, the Certificate of Pedagogical Aptitude from the Official Language School, and the International Teacher Training from International House. Throughout these years, I have continued my education in pedagogy, marketing, and management, because I believe that learning is a way of life.

I have two adult children and a very old cat. I love cats! I am also passionate about music, especially jazz. Whenever I can, I go to concerts… and I really enjoy dancing!

Charlie

English Teacher

Hello! I’m Charlie. I was born in the UK, although I have been living in Catalonia for almost a decade now.

I graduated from the University of Portsmouth in 2016 and have been a teacher at Acadèmia Sarroca since 2017, specializing in Cambridge exam preparation for both young people and adults.

In 2023, I completed an International House course to deepen my teaching strategies with young and adolescent students. Since then, I continue to train to keep improving every academic year.

Occasionally, I also collaborate as an Invigilator at Exams Catalunya, an official Cambridge examination center, which allows me to gain first-hand knowledge of how the exams actually work and transfer this experience to the classroom.

Thanks to my work, I have also been able to develop experience as an interpreter and translator in various contexts, experiences that have been very enriching.

But the most rewarding part of my job is being able to make a real and positive impact on students’ lives, not only in language learning but also in the opportunities this can open up for them in the future.

In my free time, I am passionate about art: I am always painting or drawing, from portraits to murals. I am also a great music lover (albeit an amateur!) and play several instruments.

Gina

English and Academic Support Teacher

Hello, I’m Gina. I am a mother to a fantastic two-year-old boy, passionate about languages and cultures, and I love teaching at all stages, always trying to bring out the best in each student with close and personalized support.

I am a professor at Rovira i Virgili University in foreign language didactics, where I teach communicative competence in English. In parallel, I am a PhD candidate in Assyriology at the University of Barcelona.

I hold the Cambridge C2 Proficiency and continuously train because I believe that learning and teaching always go hand in hand. I enjoy reading, listening to sixties and seventies music on vinyl, and cultivating
gardening and medicinal herbs.

Natàlia

Academic Support, Catalan and Spanish Teacher for Foreigners

I’m Natàlia, mother of Biel and Queralt. I live in Serra d’Almos and I am an academic support teacher at the academy.

I have a degree in Geography from URV, with a third cycle of research from UB and a Master’s in Secondary Education. For over 25 years, I have worked with children and adolescents providing academic support in all primary and ESO subjects, and in humanities for high school. I have also taught Catalan and Spanish to adults in different academies and have worked as a substitute in secondary education centers.

During these years, I have trained in inclusion support, working on specific content to assist students with SEN (such as dyslexia, ADHD, etc.).

I love children, reading a good book, going to the cinema, and enjoying live theater. I am an animal lover (I have two cats) and I am passionate about nature.
